— A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER —
Over the past three decades, I have devoted myself to understanding human transformation. That path has taken me through behavioural change, leadership, ritual and ceremony, contemplative practice, metaphysical inquiry, entrepreneurship, and years of direct work with individuals, groups, and organisations navigating profound impact.
For more than thirteen years, I have worked professionally in transformational spaces. In 2017, I founded Awaken the Medicine Within, developing an integrative approach to psychedelic retreat work that brought preparation, ceremony, and long-term integration into one structured pathway. Since then, I have guided more than 1,000 psychedelic ceremonies, worked with over 3,000 clients, and created and curated numerous transformational programs, retreats, practitioner trainings, and educational pathways.
That depth of practice has given me a close view of both the potential and the complexity of this work. The longer I have served, the more interested I have become in the questions that emerge beyond technique and training.
How do we work responsibly with power and influence?
How do we navigate projection, authority, and group dynamics?
How do we work skilfully with ritual, symbolism, altered states, and metaphysical experiences while retaining discernment?
How do we build sustainable businesses and organisations that embody the values they speak about?
And how do we continue maturing as practitioners as our experience, responsibility, and influence grow?
The Guardians Collective was created as a place to keep engaging with these questions.
