For certain programmes, we may need to collect more sensitive information where it is necessary to assess suitability, safety or participation. Where this involves special-category personal data, such as health information, we will identify an appropriate legal basis and, where required, ask for your explicit consent. 4. Our Legal Bases for Processing

Under the GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:

Contract
Where processing is necessary to provide a membership, programme, course, supervision session or other service you have purchased or requested.

Consent
Where you have actively agreed to a particular use of your information, such as certain marketing communications or processing requiring explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Legitimate interests

Where we process special-category personal data, we will also identify an applicable condition under Article 9 GDPR.

5. Newsletter and Communications

If you subscribe to Eudaimonia Field Notes, request a free resource or otherwise choose to receive our communications, we may use your information to send relevant educational content, Institute news, programme information and invitations.

Where consent is the basis for these communications, you can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails or contacting us directly.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending communications necessary to administer a membership, booking, purchase or programme in which you are participating.

6. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions and, depending on your choices, analytics or other optional purposes.

Where required by law, non-essential cookies will only be activated after you have provided consent.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of the technology providers we use may process or store personal information outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps required under applicable data-protection law to ensure an appropriate level of protection. You may contact us if you would like further information about safeguards applicable to your personal data.

9. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, contractual, accounting and regulatory requirements.
